This series of cubes with a side from 1 cm to 10 cm helps the child to perceive the variation of sizes in 3 dimensions, to develop his coordination and fine motor skills and prepares him for the mathematical concepts of decimal system, geometry and volume. The child learns to compare and insert and develops his vocabulary related to sizes (big-small, high-short, hard-light, etc.).
At the beginning, the tower is built by placing the cubes centrally on top of each other. Later, the tower is built with two flat sides, and the smallest cube (with a side of 1 cm) moves down on each step to demonstrate the connection between it and the size variation in the series of cubes.
The pink tower can also be used in combination with the brown ladder, thus giving the child the opportunity to explore the interdependence between dimensions.
The set contains 10 cubes of pink painted wood whose dimensions increase gradually from 1cm3 (smallest) to 10cm3 (largest). The set also contains two spare 1cm3 cubes.
