The Red Rods

This series of rods helps the child to visualize the variation of the length while the height and the width remain constant. Working with these wands develops coordination and motor skills, prepares the child for mathematical activities that involve insertion and comparison and develops vocabulary related to sizes (large-small, long-short, etc.).

By placing the wands on top of each other, a ladder can be built, and the child can observe how the smallest wand has the same size as the difference between two successive steps. Later the child can build a spiral of wands. The activities with these sticks prepare the child to work with the digital sticks.

This set contains 10 red painted wooden sticks, with constant height and width (2.5 cm) and lengths that increase gradually from 10 to 10 cm, starting from 10 cm (shortest) to 1 m (longest ).

This product is a teaching material, not a toy. Not recommended for children under 3 years of age without supervised by an adult.
